Then again, I live in the US and there are plenty of quality oils available at Walmart for under $6/qt that are extremely comparable to Amsoil's Extended Life (and below) products. Nov 26, 2006 · Amsoil has 2 0W-20's that are API-certified, the 'XL' and 'OE' 0W-20. For the price, I would hope Amsoil is a better quality filter, but Fram seems to filter down pretty well. They also recommend regular filter intervals and there are qualifications on 100K+ cars. I'm not an Amsoil user, but Amsoil fans seem to react pretty violently when the possible warranty implications of using Signature Series are brought up. I have considered an amsoil membership which prompted me to ask this question. I don't do super extended changes, but their recommendations, if followed, are sound; there are several 20-27K miles OCI documented on this site.
